Downtown Phoenix is a city that holds many art murals that can be found on street walls and alleyways, but where does the money come from for these murals to be created? And where does the city find these artists? Here are some answers to these questions. You'll find a bar graph and a pie chart of these statistics. The bar graph shows the total amount money allocated, since 2019, by the POAC’s public art funding (known as the “Percent-for-Art” program). The pie chart shows the percentage of artist that are creating projects for the 2020-2025 years will be created by Arizona and out-of-state artists.
